Ginger Cabbage and Potatoes Recipe

A subtle hint of ginger adds a little zest to a favorite veggie dish.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. PREPARE 1. Dice cabbage into equal portions (about 1 1/2 inch pieces) 2. Dice onions and cut turkey bacon into 1 inch pieces
  2. CREATE 1. Create a water/broth mix by adding the water, vegetable broth, salt, black pepper, cardamom, ginger powder and liquid smoke together in large cup or small bowl. 2. Saute' onions and turkey bacon in extra virgin olive oil 3. Once the turkey bacon is a little crispy and the onion is transparent, add the cabbage, butter, and potatoes. 3. Pour the water/broth and seasoning mixture in and stir.
  3. COOK 1. Cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes, then turn down to low-medium and cook for another 20-25 minutes. 2. Additional salt can be added to taste.
